The West Pasco Historical Society is a non-profit with all volunteers. We collect, preserve and display the history of West Pasco County, Florida, in a newly renovated former school house between Orange Lake and Sims Park in the heart of New Port Richey. Among our exhibits are those depicting our military, our law enforcement, businesses, education, and the indigenous American Indians, the Tocabaga. We have presentations monthly that have included "500 Years of Florida Cattle Ranching," Jeff Klinkenberg's Florida, "The Perilous Journey of Florida's Black Seminoles," and "The Early Counter-Sit Ins of the Civil Rights struggle, as well as a program on "Florida During the U.S. Civil War," accompanied by music performed from that era.
