Our Mission
The mission statement of the Vineyard Church of Surprise answers the question, "What are we supposed to be doing?" God's answer to us comes in the form of four basic tasks that are to guide all of our ministry endeavors. This means that in everything we do, whether it is hosting a small group, constructing a building, or having coffee with a neighbor, we are to be about the Father's business. Specifically this means...

-We are called to be a family - reaching the lost and the lonely. We are a community of people that welcomes new individuals and families of all backgrounds into our fellowship. In this sense, we are a place of love, acceptance, and forgiveness for all who are in need.
-We are called to be a hospital - healing the sick, the oppressed, and the fallen. We are a community of healing that ministers to the needs and pains of people, whether those needs are physical, emotional, or spiritual.
-We are called to be a school - equipping people for life and ministry. We are a community of learning that teaches from the Word of God the truths and principles of successful living for all generations.
-We are called to be an army - a community of soldiers, prophetic, evangelistic, and liberating. The influence we have in our culture includes setting the captives free in the name of Jesus Christ.

As a family we reach out to those in our community with the love of God offering hope, significance, and an authentic sense of belonging for every member.

As a hospital we rely upon the power of God to heal wounded hearts, renew broken bodies, restore broken relationships, and lift up injured spirits with the abundant life that Jesus promised.

As a school we are a community of learners who take an honest, in-depth look at God's Word to equip ourselves with God's truth in order to apply it to our lives.

We purposefully send every member into our community and the world to serve those in need, free many from bondage, and encourage spiritual growth and kingdom principles by positively impacting our culture and our world with living examples of God's truth.

It is our prayer that we continue to grow both numerically and spiritually, to serve our community and our world with the message of hope that is in Jesus Christ, and to build a long-term legacy of integrity and service that will honor our Lord and bear lasting fruit in the lives of those touched by the Vineyard Church of Surprise.
