Mission:

Sixth Ward Elementary School is focusing on developing and maintaining a school climate for concrete teaching and learning that will prepare students academically for the 21st century.  It is anticipated that a favorable atmosphere, a classroom environment that infuses real world learning and work into daily instruction will enhance students’ ability to reason, produce knowledge independently, and use the tools of technology for increased effectiveness and productively.
