Quarryland Mens Chorus

6641 Rhinestone Drive
812-876-4175

History:
The Quarryland Men's Chorus was founded in the summer of 2002 by a small group of men seeking the opportunity to make music with fellow like-minded men. After a year of struggles and setbacks, the Chorus began to flourish under the direction of Barry Magee in the summer of 2003. Since that time, the chorus has enjoyed slow but steady growth in membership while performing an eclectic and increasingly challenging repertoire.

By 2005, the Chorus had extended beyond the concert setting to provide more performances in the community, thus fulfilling its purposes of reaching the general public and serving as cultural ambassadors to and for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. The Quarryland Men's Chorus today continues to offer that opportunity for men to make music together, regardless of previous experience, and remains committed to its mission of providing a positive performance-based community for gay and bisexual men and their allies in South Central Indiana.
