Payson Art League (PAL) began its history in 1976 when a group of local artists united together for the purpose of improving, fostering and promoting art and art education in the Payson area.  The first officers were elected in 1979.  PAL was incorporated in 1981, and is a 501-C-3 not for profit organization.

Payson Art League is a friendly, dedicated group of artists and artisans in a variety of mediums who like to share their knowledge and techniques with others.  At PAL monthly meetings a demonstration or presentation from an artist, with a strong background in their respective medium, is available and willing to share their line of expertise with members and guests.
