The New Bern Computer Users Group (NBCUG), started in 1994, is an informal, unstructured group of people having a common interest in personal computers. It is an unusual group in that it has no charter, officers, dues or formal membership. Signing in at a meeting constitutes membership and if an e-mail address is provided the member will receive announcements of meetings, minutes, member list, chat from members and be able to send mail to all members.

Whatever happens at NBCUG meetings happens because of volunteers. The group is always open to suggestions, including how to organize better. Ideas, however, always seem to require volunteer doers.
