The mission of Knapp Elementary School, a community of learners, is to provide diverse educational opportunities that develop the skills, attitudes, knowledge, and ethics needed to reach individual potential and create a foundation for life long learning.

Knapp Elementary School will provide a safe and appropriate learning environment where student needs are met and the educational programs and standards of the state of Indiana and the Michigan City Area Schools are implemented in order to effectively prepare students for the demands of today as well as the future.
