About Us:
The Indianapolis Yacht Club (IYC) on Geist Lake, which is located northeast of Indianapolis is a private boating and social club offering nautical, recreational, social and family events; food and beverage; and fun and fellowship for its members. The IYC clubhouse, completed in 1998, is a beautiful 13,000 square foot stone "castle-like" facility with a 25' x 50' swimming pool, formal dining hall upstairs, a "professional" kitchen, a recreation hall downstairs and beautiful oak trim and furnishings throughout.
The clubhouse is truly a place our members can be proud to bring their family and guests, and the scenic view of a large portion of Geist Lake is breathtaking.The Club is open seven days a week throughout the year for the enjoyment of its members and guests. Members (including spouse and children ages 16 through 25 years residing in member's household) must accompany any invited guest while on Club grounds.
A fulltime Club Manager resides in the Clubhouse to assist Club Members and to provide managerial/security services. Senior and Social Members have 24 hour access, via an access card, to the Club grounds, restrooms, showers, phone, and vending machines.
Senior Members also have access to IYC docks which are comprised of 50 double slips equipped with electrical power, lights, drinking water, and sewage pump out. Senior Members may buy and install their own boat and/or personal watercraft (jet ski) lifts after obtaining approval from the IYC Dock Master.
