Hope’s Way Mission

To enhance the quality of life, health and emotional well being of children and their families from surrounding communities, who have special needs, by providing a cost-free place of respite, directed recreation and family centered activities.

Hope’s Way is designed to provide community based, family-oriented, recreation and much needed respite and support system for parents. By partnering with members of the business community, civic organizations, individual volunteers, Hope’s Way opens a gateway to enable underserved families and children to spend quality time together, to improve the life style of challenged children and strengthen the wellness of the family unit. This translates into better communities.

Hope’s Way was named in memory of Hope Elizabeth Heyse, the granddaughter of Richard and Elizabeth who died shortly after her birth. In her name, this facility is intended to honor and serve all children. The year 2002 proved to be a very significant and busy year for Hope’s Way, Inc. In January plans began for the facility. The first official meeting was held and a Board of Directors was seated and officers were elected. The majority of the governing board members have either children or grandchildren who are special need. Articles of Incorporation were written and filed with the state of Indiana . Shortly after that, filing procedures for tax-exempt status with the Federal government were started. This status was received in June of 2002. Tax exempt status for the state of Indiana was filed for and obtained.
