Georgia Perimeter College Newton Campus opened its doors in June of 2007 to serve students in eight counties in southeastern metropolitan Atlanta. Since then, a new state of the art 50,000 square foot Student Learning Center was added that features an advanced library, 144-seat lecture hall and a fitness center. Testing Services, Disability Services and the Learning and Tutoring Center also are housed in the new building, along with the offices of Student Life and the Student Government Association.

The campus boasts top notch softball and baseball stadiums and is home to the college's renowned fast pitch softball and baseball teams and the Newton Campus Arts and Humanities Council.

The college also has a partnership program with Georgia State University that allows GPC students to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in education while completing all four years of college on Newton Campus. This new “2 + 2” program has administrative offices in the Student Learning Center.
