Vision
We envision a supportive learning environment that inspires, energizes and challenges students, staff and families to promote everyone’s academic achievement and personal growth.

E. Russell Hicks is one of the largest and the oldest middle schools in Washington County with approximately 770 students enrolled. The modern well-kept building was constructed in 1968 on 22 acres of land. The building has over 80,000 square feet of usable floor space. Our school is located in the southern section of the city of Hagerstown, in Washington County, Maryland.

The building has a very neat and clean appearance after many years. This can only be credited to the custodians, faculty and students who have taken pride in keeping it this way.
