About Cornerstone

SWEET SPIRIT

Since 1980, Pastor George Gilbert has faithfully preached the Bible with conviction.  Through the years, we have seen many people trust Christ as their Savior and grow in God's grace.  It is our belief that the grace of God changes our lives and helps us to be more like Jesus!  Cornerstone is an independent, unaffiliated, Baptist church.

TIMELESS TRUTH

Cornerstone is dedicated to God's truth.  We are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!  The Bible clearly says, "whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."  The message of the Gospel is that God loves us, and sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross.  His death payed the price for our sins.  Then, He rose again, victorious over sin and death!  When someone believes that Jesus died for their sins rose again, they can ask Him into their heart.  The Bible says, "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

These days, there are many other important issues that can often distort and obscure the clear message of salvation through Jesus Christ.  We strive to keep the Gospel message the most important issue, and the focus of our ministry.

UPLIFTING

We want to exhalt and glorify Jesus Christ!  We love to sing music that is powerful, contemporary, and ultra-conservative.  We love many of the traditional hymns as well as new songs that glorify God.  The music at Cornerstone is holy, heavenly, and very different than the world's music!  Our choir, ensembles, and music teams sing to the Lord with joy in their hearts.

FAITHFUL

The Bible says that, "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."  We belive God's Word has been given to us in the Bible.  Our church members carry their Bibles to church and follow along as the pastor preaches through the Scriptures.  We use the King James Version wherein God has preserved His Word for us through many centuries.

LOVING

We hope everyone will feel welcome at Cornerstone.  We don't want people to worry about how they dress or look.  We just do our best to honor God in everything we do.  Nobody should feel obligated to give in an offering or serve.

We especially want to help people who are in need.  Through our Reformers Unanimous addiction program we have been able to reach out to people from all walks of life.
