The Anchorage Lions Club was Formed in June of 1944, and has served the Anchorage community in a variety of ways:

- Alaska Ride for Life.
- Covenant House Golf Tournament.
- Fireweed 400
- Joint Sight Donations.
- Melvin Jones Fellowship.
- Salvation Army Bell Ringing.
- Sight First II
- Street Clean-Up in the Spring and Fall.
