Adult Programming

All CT Reads: The House on the Cerulean Sea Monday, 5th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All CT Reads is sponsored by the CT State Library, it is a year-long initiative to promote lifelong reading, learning, and connection. Registration required
Nonfiction Book Discussion Wednesday, December 7th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Each month we will discuss a new and challenging non-fiction book. This month’s read: Secondhand Time: The Last of the Soviets by Svetlana Alexievich. If you enjoy learning about new things and different experiences, this group is for YOU. We are always welcoming new members. Join us!
Friends of the Trumbull Library Meeting Wednesday, December 7th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is a regular meeting of the Friends of the Trumbull Library.  All are invited to attend.  The Friends are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to advocate and raise funds for the Trumbull Library. Join us.
Adult Fiction Book Club Thursday, December 8th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Join us as we read and discuss The Midnight Library by Matt Haig in person at the Trumbull Library. We meet every second Thursday of the month. Register here.
Friends Book Sale Saturday, December 10th from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Friends of the Trumbull Library will conduct a book sale on the west lawn of the library, between the library and Town Hall.  All are welcome! Accepting cash, cards, cash apps and checks! Rain or shine.
Adult DIY Snow Globes Saturday, December 10th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Come craft with us this holiday season! We will be building snow globes during this do-it-your-self event. All supplies are included, but patrons are welcome to bring in their own mini figurines to make their snow globe scene. Snow globes are 3 1/2 inch diameter. Registration is required for this crafting event.

Princeton Review: ACT Practice Exam Saturday, December 3rd from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Have you taken or registered for the PSAT? Dungeons & Dragons Club Saturday, December 3rd from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Books, dice, and characters sheets will all be available, but players are welcome to bring their own. Family ArtSmart Craft: Hot Chocolate Monday, December 5th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Join Kathy Vincent of ArtSmart! Studio for an evening of cozy creating! Young artists, together with their ADULT partner, will create an adorable cup of hot cocoa using acrylic paint, collage papers & dimensional accents on canvas board. Too cute! Grades K-2 with an adult. Registration is required. One craft per family.

Holiday Extravaganza: One-of-a-Kind Ornaments Saturday, December 3rd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. We will be making ornaments to celebrate the holiday season. Registration required, all ages.
Creators’ Corner Exploration Monday, December 5th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Join us at the Fairchild-Nichols Memorial Library and learn to use our 3D printer. If you are interested in attending or using the 3D printer, please email Paula Carlson: [email protected]
Fairchild: Music with Tom Weber Thursday, December 8th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Join us for a fun morning with Tom Weber! Tom’s performances are filled with interactive movement, props, singing, dancing, and lots of energy. His repertoire includes original songs as well as traditional favorites. Registration required, all ages.
Fairchild: Storytime 2’s and 3’s Tuesday, December 6th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join us for story time! We will have a little bit of stories and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-3.

Children's Story Time

Toddler Time for 2’s and 3’s Monday, December 5th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Join Ms. Chelsie in person for great stories, songs, and dances. Ages 2-3. To accommodate COVID guidelines, we will limit the number of participants each week. To ensure all families have a chance to try and attend this program, you must register every week.
Baby Time Tuesday, December 6th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to 2. Meet in-person at the library for story time! Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform finger plays. Registration is not required.
Preschool Story Time Wednesday, December 7th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Ages 3-5. Meet in-person at the library for story time! Listen to stories, sing songs, and complete a simple craft. This session of preschool time does not require registration.
