Saturday, Feb. 3

8:00 am - 6:30 pm - Grand Marais Pond Hockey Tournament - Cook County Community Center
Entry fee is $150 per team with proceeds going to sponsor the Cook County hockey program.

9:00 am - 15th Annual Fun Run - Grand Marais and Gunflint Trail
It's Cook County Snowmobile Club's biggest "Fun"d raiser of the year! Start at Skyport Lodge or Hungry Jack Lodge and make stops along the way to support the club and local resorts. $25.

10:00 am - Fiber Circle - Dappled Fern Fibers
This free, drop-in group is a great place to work on easy projects and connect with other fiber folks in the area!

10:00 am - 4:00 pm - Winter Market - The Hub/Grand Marais Senior Center
Find arts, crafts, gifts and more at this winter market with local artists and vendors.

Hygge: the Warmth of Winter is the fifth annual members' show from the North Shore Artists League. This collaborative exhibit, featuring artwork celebrating the natural Hygge of winters in a variety of mediums, is a masterful tour of North Shore artists.

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm - Live Music: Sky Blue Jazz - Cascade Lodge Restaurant and Pub
Sky Blue Jazz features pianist Mike DeBevec, saxophonist Eric Hahn, bassist Mike Roth, and singer Karina Roth.

7:00 pm - Cozy February Film Screening - Arrowhead Center for the Arts
Join the Grand Marais Film Society for a film screening of a romantic movie that explores love and destiny, and that is nominated for several academy awards this year. Set in both the United States and South Korea, it's a story that will be the perfect compliment to a hygge weekend.

8:00 pm - Live Music: Honest Heart Collective - Up Yonder on 61
These Thunder Bay, Ontario natives are described as "passionate, spirited, feel­-good, anthemic rock music" by Grant Lawrence of CBC Radio 3."

The Southpaws Duo features multi-instrumentalists and local legends Al Oikari and Steve Johnson.

Tuesday, Feb. 6

10:00 am - Cascade River State Park Hike - Bluefin Bay on Lake Superior
Cascade River provides stunning views of deep, twisting gorges that create beautiful cascades. The trail follows the river and includes a hike over a bridge that gives amazing views of the cascades. Don't forget…sturdy shoes, dress for the weather, water bottle, camera! Sign up ahead of time. Non-Bluefin Bay guests should enter "Hygge" under reservation number when signing up. Meet at the Guest Services building at Bluefin Bay Resort.

6:00pm - 8:00 pm - Community Craft Night - North House Folk School
North House Folk School hosts a Community Craft Night on Tuesdays throughout January and February. Come to the Red Building on the North House campus, bring a favorite craft to work on, and meet other crafters in the community. Kids are welcome to attend with an adult. Free and open to all.

6:00pm - 9:00 pm - Open Stage - Up Yonder on 61
Come on up and strut your stuff in a safe and welcoming space. Whatever your jam is!

6:30 pm - Open Curling - Cook County Community Center
Put on by the Cook County Curling Club, this is fun, relaxing and no-pressure curling. Instruction and equipment provided, all you need is a pair of clean athletic shoes (no dirt or gravel in the treads), comfortable – easy to move in clothing and a light jacket or sweater (a fleece works well).

Put on by the Cook County Curling Club, this is fun, relaxing and no-pressure curling. Instruction and equipment provided, all you need is a pair of clean athletic shoes (no dirt or gravel in the treads), comfortable – easy to move in clothing and a light jacket or sweater (a fleece works well).

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm - Northern Lotus Meditation - Two Birds Healing Arts Center
Experience a mindful group meditation practice in a warm and inclusive environment. Whether you're a seasoned meditator or a complete beginner, all are welcome. No prior experience is needed; just an open heart and a willingness to explore this path.

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Guided Bon Fire Hike - Bluefin Bay on Lake Superior
This hiking trip includes taking stops to talk about the natural history of the North Shore, and scenic viewpoints and vistas. You will hike out to a campsite along the Superior Hiking Trail, the distance is no more than 2 miles. The locations will be at onion river camp or east caribou. At the campsite you'll enjoy a campfire, s'mores, and hot beverages. You will need dress to be outside for 3 hours. Don't forget a camera! Register here. Non-Bluefin Bay guests should enter "Hygge" under reservation number when signing up.

Join this free, drop in fiber circle on Thursday nights! Slip on cozy clothes, bring a simple project that doesn't need much attention, and settle in to craft together. No purchase or registration needed.

The PF Studios program is a practice-based platform for artists to develop their craft, skills and careers in relationship with other artists. Stop in to the Founders Hall open studio, Friday, February 9th between 5 - 6 pm to learn about the artists' work, process, and inspirations. Refreshments provided.

9:00 am - Gunflint Mail Run - Trail Center Lodge
The Gunflint Mail Run Sled Dog Race is a continuous race consisting of two legs of equal distance, separated by a mandatory layover. First team is off at 9 am Watch the start or finish at Trail Center Lodge or watch the race from multiple other businesses along the Gunflint Trail.

9:30 am - Blast From the Past Vintage Snowmobile Ride - Cascade Lodge
The Lutsen TrailBreakers Snowmobile Club, along with Cascade Lodge, Cascade River State Park, the US Forest Service and Visit Cook County, invite you to the ninth annual Blast From the Past Vintage Snowmobile Ride. Approx. 20-mile ride start and finish at Cascade Lodge and Restaurant. Registration opens at 9:30 am in the main lodge. $10 per machine, so bring out the old iron, the tired iron, and the just plain rare sleds
