10:00 a.m: Homer Davenport Parade
The residents from the Silverton Country come together in the City's historic downtown district for the annual Community Parade. Entries range from floats to antique automobiles as well as bands and dancers. We invite you to celebrate by participating in our annual parade on Saturday.  The Parade forms up around 9:00 am in the Middle School parking lot. The Parade will get underway at 10:00.

The Barb Rue Memorial Davenport Races
People-Powered Home Furnishings! We invite one and all to participate in the annual Davenport Races on Sunday. All participants are encouraged to be creative with their entry. All participants should arrive no later than 11:00 am, for the Race Pit Preview.  Judging is at 11:30, with the race getting underway at 12:00 p.m.

Want to Race, but lack a Couch The Homer Race Committee, has several regulation loaner Davenport Racers!  Get Your Team Together.
Judging will be categorize as Best Uniforms and Best Racer if you choose to bring your own.

Homer's Classic Fun Run
Celebrate Silverton's Homer Davenport Days with a run through Marion County's only covered bridge and scenic countryside surrounding Silverton.  

All Races start and end at the Silverton High School, 1456 Pine St.
Watermelon slices and other goodies are served at the finish.
Afterwards, enjoy the Homer Davenport Community Festival in Coolidge-McClaine Park
