Midland, MI – On Friday, May 3rd, Creative 360 will host an opening for a new exhibit: The Great Lakes iPhoneography Group, an Overview, which will take place at 7:00 pm at the 5501 Jefferson Ave location. The show will feature the art of Armin Mersmann, Cindy Bancroft, Julie Close, Gaylene LeVally, Steve Parkhurst, Nancy Brooks Siebert, Elizabeth Sullivan, Janis Taylor, and Carol Whitney.

iPhoneography is the art of creating photos with an iPhone where images are both shot and processed on the iOS device. Artwork is created through a process that resembles painting and collage rather than traditional photography and photo editing. The element of surprise is a key component of each ppiece, leading to the exploration of new ideas that may not have been possible through other means.

“This is such a talented group of artists, and we are so excited to display their high-quality work,” said Curator, Colleen Reed. “Guests will be amazed at what these artists have done with this technology.”

The opening reception is Friday, May 3 from 7:00-8:3pm and is FREE and open to the public. The exhibit will be on display through 6/9. Admission to all Creative 360 visual arts exhibitions is free. The arts non-profit is grateful for donations that allow us to continue this practice.
