Governor Parson Announces Three Judicial Appointments

Jefferson City — Today, Governor Mike Parson announced three judicial appointments to the 16th and 21st Judicial Circuits.

Marty W. Seaton, of Kansas City, was appointed as Circuit Judge for the 16th Judicial Circuit.

Mr. Seaton is currently a partner at Turner, Sweeny & Seaton. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and political science from Drury University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri. He will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Patrick W. Campbell.

The Honorable John Robert Lasater, of Kirkwood, was appointed as Circuit Judge for the 21st Judicial Circuit.

Judge Lasater currently serves as an associate circuit judge in St. Louis County. He holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Wisconsin and a Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis. He will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable William M. Corrigan, Jr.

Jason A. Denney, of Crestwood, was appointed as Associate Circuit Judge for the 21st Judicial Circuit.

Mr. Denney currently serves as an assistant prosecuting attorney in St. Louis County and a Municipal Judge for the City of Crestwood. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri. He will fill the vacancy created by the appointment of the Honorable Nicole S. Zellweger as Circuit Judge.
