From: City of Sugar CreekRepublic Trash Service Observes these holidays:
Christmas
New Year's
Memorial Day
Fourth Of July
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
If any of these holidays falls on a weekday,
Republic Trash Service will be running one day late.
For example,
July 4th falls on a Monday, therefore, Monday's pickup will be on Tuesday and so on.
Republic WILL pickup trash THIS Friday, 7/1.
The following Monday is the Fourth so all trash routes will be bumped one day.
Republic will pick up trash on Saturday, 7/9 the week of the Fourth of July.
If you were missed, it could be because of Republic's staffing issues or mechanical issues.
Republic has notified the City that due to fuel increases, a 30 cent per customer increase will go into effect August 1 and last until January 31, 2023.
The City, at this time, has decided to absorb this increase caused by the increase in diesel.
In November, 2022, Republic may elect to increase household charges again, which is allowed by contract.
For now, Senior rates are $19.50 and regular customer rates are $20.50.
