Council Meeting
August 8, 2022

Before Council Meeting began, the Mayor asked for a moment of silence for the passing of Ms. Linda Jasso.

Officer Burdg was asked to lead the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll call established a quorum and the Consent Agenda was passed unanimously.
Chief Soule presented Officer Burdg to the Council and the Mayor swore the new officer in using the standard oath of office provided by Chief Soule.

Mr. Keith Lamming came before the Council asking for tax abatements for the houses he plans to build and sell on Burton.
City Attorney Baird said she would begin investigating the criteria necessary for a tax abatement in that area.

Seeing no further business from the floor, the Mayor presented 3 ordinances to the Council.
All 3 passed unanimously.
#4557 authorized purchase of fire gear for the SC Fire Department.
#4558 authorized payment to Ace Pipe Cleaning.
#4559 authorized an increase in trash service fees of $1 effective 12/1/2022.

The dessert is layered using a spherical mold and frozen overnight.

The Garden is sold out.
Thank you to all who are renting space and thank you to those volunteers who are cutting grass and maintaining the weeds.
